Single Sentence Manifesto
Frank Philippin University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt
During this intense-super-short-240-minutes-workshop you will be asked to interact with "certain kinds of people" (everybody will pull their own "people category" out of a hat) in order to develop a single statement. This should then be interpreted in a bold, simple, powerful, quick and dirty graphic way!
You need to be fast, flexible and you need to bring something to record spoken language with (sound recorder or the the very least a pen and sketchbook), something to generate type with (type specimen books, old magazines/newspaper, pens, paper, scissors, laptop, … - there will be a black and white photocopier and laser printer available for your free usage) and a lot of energy.
Timetable 240 minutes:
00-30: Brief and quick discussion
30-90: Interaction with "certain people"
90-140: editing/developing concept
140-200: making a bold typographic piece
200-239: Presentation
240: HURRAH!
