Motion Graphics Integration (Compositing)

César Peña

Given the array of audiovisual techniques it must be taken into account that our result must be of a unitary character. Inappropriate integration in the technical and aesthetic sense can result in incongruity when visualising a given work.

Through a series of very simple techniques, but which always produce good results, we will be able to integrate, on a technical and aesthetic level, compositions created by different types of software or techniques, whether in 3D or 2D. That is why the concept of integration or compositing becomes so important and ultimately generates fast and effective solutions with regard to our Motion Graphics.

This theoretico-practical workshop approaches the idea of "Integration" simply and effectively as regards software and aesthetics in the world of audiovisual graphics.

With regard to technical aspects, we work directly with software (Adobe After Effects) visualising and applying simple and effective solutions for perspective, depth of field, camera, animation, and the correct integration of 3D elements (animation and \ or particles) on a real or virtual 2D video space. Different styles of integration for the same elements; different results with respect to aesthetics and narrative technique.

It is unnecessary to have an advanced level in Adobe After Effects although some knowledge of it as well as of Adobe Photoshop could be helpful for the general understanding of this workshop.
